06.12.09 - Dusty Ward of Drew, MS hired as AgVenture Mid-South Maximum Profit Specialist
Clarksdale, Mississippi-based AgVenture Mid-South continues to expand its expert corn production staff. CEO and General Manger, Terry Dulaney said, "Having the right people in place to provide an exceptional level of knowledge and service is as important as having the right seed in the right place."
Dulaney has announced the hiring of Dusty Ward as the newest Maximum Profit Specialist on the Mid-South regional AgVenture® brand seed supplier's team. "We're pleased to have Dusty join AgVenture Mid-South. In 2008, Ward served our organization as a dedicated intern. He brings a fresh familiarity of cutting-edge corn production science to the mix having worked closely with Mississippi State University Extension Corn Specialist, Dr. Erick Larson as an undergraduate."
Ward said, "I am really pleased to work with this group of professionals – both the AgVenture Mid-South employees and the professional level growers we support. We're working with the best corn producers in the Mid-South – many of whom are among the best in the country. It's a great opportunity to put the science of the genetics and traits AgVenture offers together with the best and most effective production practices. Together, we're taking yields to new highs and profits to better levels. I look forward to making that happen for growers in my home area."
Dulaney said that AgVenture Mid-South has made a commitment to the region's corn growers. "We know, through experience and in practice, that we can help growers attain unprecedented yields across their corn acres. It's not just talk, it's happening. Our Maximum Profit Specialists have become integral contributors to our growers' profitability. They work with our growers' throughout the year - supporting their production systems from tillage, fertilization, irrigation, crop protection, through harvest and planning for the next crop. In the end, these growers are realizing higher yields with lower cost per bushel inputs on every acre."
Ward received his B.S. in Agricultural Science from Mississippi State University in May, 2009. Formerly, Ward provided agricultural services to growers through the family business at Ward Air Services for eight years. He currently resides in Drew, Mississippi.
